Gina Baker, chapter leader of the Weston A. Price Foundation in Costa Rica, recently asked me another very interesting question:
If Tuberculosis (TB) spread because of weakened immune systems (which were caused by poor diets, i.e. eating white flour, white sugar, etc.), why don’t we see TB now?
That is a very interesting question, and I have some interesting answers.
First, it is sad to say that TB is actually on the rise again. Media has mentioned for decades that it would eventually be eradicated by vaccines, but that was a completely false hope. The truth is that vaccines actually make the problem worse, and we are seeing that with many old diseases now. Even the Plague is on the rise again.
Tom Cowan recently did a wonderful podcast about vaccines, and it gives some detailed insights that you can listen to. In short, vaccines actually inhibit development of our natural defenses, and future generations are becoming more and more vulnerable.
It is all about nutrition, which maintains a healthy immune system. While modern food is very unhealthy, the spread of wealth in modern times has given more people more access to nutritious foods too.

Cod Liver Oil One very powerful aid in our nutrition was the spread of Cod Liver Oil (CLO). CLO was viewed as an elixir, a medicine, and the rise of CLO perfectly parallels the decline of disease… Until about a hundred years ago when modern processing started to produce poor quality CLO. Colloidal Silver Another powerful ally protecting our health was colloidal silver (CS). Before the advent of antibiotics it was CS that was sold by pharmaceutical companies. It was not a good quality CS, but rather silver nitrates and similar; however, they were very effective. Many people can still remember how the doctors put drops (of silver nitrate) in babies’ eyes and turned them black. Sadly, CS has been aggressively suppressed by big pharma companies in modern times, because we can make a cheap pure CS that is vastly more effective than antibiotics. |
TB killed so many people because the people already had weakened immune systems from poor diets. It was an era in human history with wide spread poverty, poor sanitation, poor food quality, and close proximity (crowding) of people. You might say the human living conditions were similar to a modern CAFO (Confined Animal Feeding Operation), which we know breeds diseases in animals.
And TB specifically requires very close proximity… it can only be passed airborne – by coughing, sneezing, breathing, directly on another person. It is not passed by food, touch, etc., and does not survive long in the open.
As Dr. Weston A. Price noted in his ten years of field study, healthy indigenous populations were mostly immune to TB. The story that Europeans killed many native American Indians with TB is inaccurate, because it was the imported food that first weakened them – the flour, sugar, etc. – and then the TB killed them.
Our progress against TB, the Plague, etc., parallels our improvements in sanitation and nutrition – specifically within cities.
Now we are threatened by a systematic deprogramming of our immune systems via vaccines, and this is starting to take its toll. A healthy human, just like all healthy creatures for millions of years, is highly unlikely to succumb to any disease. We could never have made it this far if we were that weak.
Eat healthy and avoid vaccinations, antibiotics, and just about anything else that the big pharmaceutical companies are trying to push on you.
